Why Should I Spend Money on an Accepted MBA Admissions Consultant?

How can investing a few hundred, or even a few thousand dollars in Accepted’s MBA Admissions Consulting make you thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars?

I’ll tell you right now.

There are basically five ways that Accepted’s MBA Admissions Consulting service can pay you back multiples of what you invest.

Reason #1: You’ll increase your chances of getting accepted

First of all, there’s number one. Our name says it, really. You improve your application and your chances of acceptance. At the top MBA programs, our clients enjoy an acceptance rate that is on average 50% or more above the averages for the individual schools.

Reason #2: You’ll save money

Number two, great ROI. I’m talking now financial ROI. And Accepted’s Admissions Consulting is less expensive than the cost of rejection. There’s a cost if you are rejected and you decide to reapply. You have the cost of applications. You may need to retake the GMAT or the GRE, which means you have testing fees and perhaps test prep fees. Hopefully in another year, we’re going to have in-person interviews, and that will mean travel expenses.

But those are actually the smallest part of the cost of rejection, frankly. A much bigger cost of rejection is the fact that you have one more year of pre-MBA earnings, which will be much lower than your post-MBA salary, at least that’s what you certainly hope. That’s why you’re going through this exercise. And then the third way that Accepted can make you money is through scholarships. So many of our clients do get scholarships. Indeed, last year $1.3 million in scholarship offers were made to Accepted’s clients.

But we also get emails like this one. “Hi, Jennifer. I’m feeling ecstatic to let you know that I got an admit from Darden with a one-third scholarship. Thank you so much for your help. It would not have been possible without you.” So this client, a very happy client I might add, attributed the fact that he got a scholarship worth roughly $40,000 to the investment he made with Accepted, which was a tiny fraction of that amount. Even if you’re accepted on your own the first time around, there’s always the possibility that perhaps with an Accepted consultant’s guidance you could have been accepted to a better program with a more impressive network and brand, and of course the possibility, if not likelihood, of higher lifetime earnings. That could be worth tens of thousands of dollars over your professional career.

Frankly, Accepted could be the best investment you’ll ever make. But there are other benefits. I just listed two.

Reason #3: You’ll save time

Number three, we save you time. Applying takes a lot of time. You need to research the programs for fit and craft great applications. Now, we don’t eliminate your investment by any means, but we estimate, I think fairly conservatively, that we save clients at least two to five hours per application. If you apply to five schools, that’s 10 to 25 hours that you can spend as you wish, relaxing, exercising, sleeping, working, doing whatever you want.

So, how do we save you that time? By giving you guidance so you don’t have to spin your wheels researching schools that aren’t a fit. By helping you start your essays off on the right foot so that they are more focused and persuasive to start with, and require less rewriting and revising. And then if you multiply your hourly rate by those savings that I just mentioned, you can reduce your investment by that amount also.

Reason #4: You’ll have less stress

The fourth way that we benefit our clients and are worth the money that’s spent on us, is we reduce your stress, and we’re a lot cheaper than a shrink. Applying to grad schools on top of work and personal responsibilities is really hard and yes, it’s stressful. You’re competing with a highly talented bunch of other applicants and you’re being evaluated, judged. Most clients say that working with an Accepted consultant reduces their stress.

Reason #5: You’ll be able to apply with confidence

And five. They get a boost in confidence. And so will you. In reviewing feedback from admitted clients, it’s struck us how many times clients said that working with their Accepted consultant really boosted their confidence. They felt the feedback that they got was invaluable and that they were truly putting their best foot forward as a result of the guidance that they received.

So, yes, I recommend you engage with an Accepted consultant to access the benefits that we just talked about. The benefits that come with having an experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated expert guide you through a stressful, difficult process. And you can do so by going to accepted.com/mba/services.
