Don’t Go into Your Med School Interviews Blind! Be Prepared for How COVID-19 Will Affect the Process.

It seems like everything in our lives lately is in a state of constant flux. As the CDC learns more about COVID-19 and infection rates rise and fall around the country, institutions are having to alter their operations with little notice. This kind of uncertainty can feel very destabilizing if you’re in the process of applying to medical school.

Thankfully, you don’t have to walk this road alone. Two of Accepted’s highly experienced med school admissions consultants, Dr. Barry Rothman and Dr. Herman “Flash” Gordon, will be hosting a live Q&A session on Tuesday, September 15th. Their goal is to help you understand what will be different about this year’s interviews, and to prepare you to ace them.

Dr. Rothman is a professor of biology and the former director of three postbac programs at San Francisco State University. Dr. Gordon served as Chair of Admissions for University of Arizona College of Medicine, where he reviewed more than 800 applications over a four-year period. Every year they help Accepted clients prepare to ace their interviews, and this year, due to the pandemic, they’re tackling the special challenge of virtual interviews.
