Some interesting data in this article on US b-schools’ recruiting practices in China. A few highlights:
- "The number of Chinese students applying to Wharton’s MBA program has dropped from 436 in 2002 to only 254 last year. Enrollment has held steady at 29 to 35 Chinese students a year, however. "
- Wharton "will offer more than US$4.5 million this year in scholarships for students from developing countries. Each student will be eligible for a US$20,000 scholarship every year."
- Stanford GSB will also offer loans to students from developing countries this year. "There will be no ceiling limit on the loans, and some will be forgivable."
