A couple of valuable pieces:
- MBA Podcaster has an excellent new segment: "Getting off the Waitlist and on the Admitted List." If you are waitlisted, this broadcast has information you want to know. I am featured in the segment.
- The Wall St. Journal has an excellent article on MBAs — usually mothers — returning to work after taking several years off to raise a family. It discusses the programs business schools and corporations are developing to ease their return and take advantage of their talents and skills. The article laments the high cost of these programs. And it high. But at least it’s a start.
Based on my experience as an MBA who returned to work after taking off several years to raise an family, I clearly preferred the entrepreneurial option and the flexibility it provided. However, I applaud both the business schools and the corporations who recognize the wealth of talent among women who have take off time to raise a family and who are now starting to mine it.
