Three New Med Schools Gain Accreditation

The AAMC has added three new medical schools to its membership, following the recent decision by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education to grant these schools provisional accreditation. The new schools are: Texas Tech University's Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at El Paso, Texas; the Florida International University College of Medicine, Miami, Florida; and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Orlando, Florida. These additions bring the total number of accredited U.S. medical schools to 129.
