Yale Decides to Retain Early Admissions

Applicants next fall will still have the opportunity to participate in Yale's early action program according to the Yale Daily News. Dean of Admissions Jeff Brenzel explained in announcing the decision to retain the program that the non-binding program, "provides students the option of expressing a preference for Yale, while freeing them from the pressures associated with binding early decision programs."

Harvard, Princeton, and the University of Virginia recently abandoned their early decision programs.
