Stanford to Receive $100 Million Gift

The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that Stanford University will soon receive a $100 million gift from Silicon Valley real estate developer and Stanford alumnus John Arrillaga. The university web site had no official announcement yet. According to the article the gift is "intended for academic purposes" and will be received in one -- very large -- lump sum.
