SAT Scoring Error Fallout Continues
The fallout continues from the College Board SAT scoring error that affected roughly 1% of last October's test takers according to the New York Times. Colleges and applicants are furious that the error occurred and that the College Board took so long to disclose the full extent of it
Their blood pressure is going to go even higher because the College Board yesterday revealed that 16 of the 4000 affected had their scores under-reported by more than 200 points. "'There were no changes at all that were more than 400 points,' " said a College Board spokeswoman. How reassuring. Actually what is reassuring is that 83% of the errors were 10 to 40 points.
