On Your Mark. Get Set. Go! The Race for MBA Internships

In CollegeJournal's "Internship Offers Are Too Early for M.B.A.s," Ron Alsop reports on robust recruiting for MBA interns and some of the problems inherent in this gold rush -- namely that internship recruiters are on campus from the first day of class.

This article confirms from a different angle what I have been saying for a long time: MBA applicants need clear goals. They are as much an admissions requirement as a high GMAT. But they will also help you make the most of the professional opportunities inherent in MBA programs.

Starting the program with a well-defined vision and plan will help you as you choose classes and take advantage of the recruiter gold rush. Knowledge of your goals is a gem you want those recruiters to mine.
